Since we’re studying on sex-sins, idolatry and murder of the unborn (and past-born), I would like to introduce pastor, teacher, author, Nadia Bolz-weber. You can look her up on the internet. She is not your typical pastor, oh no, she is a radical Lutheran that uses foul language in her sermons and has lots of tats. She is founder of “House for All Sinners and Saints” (Denver, Colorado). She wants us to believe assiduously with her in her not-so-Biblically correct sermons/writings. She calls herself a theologian. Well, I don’t think so.
Years ago the Lutheran denomination began to split into two camps: conservative and liberal. NBW is of the very liberal camp, the ELCA, Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. “She by all standards, is a Jezebel,” says one pastor. Over the years I’ve heard and read many things said. When I was doing my “Women in the Ministry” series, I made it a point to differentiate between holy and unholy. I have not, as many men have, excluded women from God’s calling; I made my point that some women are not called because of what they teach, not because they are female. (See my articles).
Neither do I judge/condemn women for having tattoos – some may have gotten them before coming to Christ. Same goes for men. What I do take issue with is what they male or female – teach. One can curse like a marine, look like a Hell’s Angel or HA’s babe, but have a heart for God and for lost humanity.
I was listening to a Christian man the other day talking about this Lutheran pastor as being a radical “Jezebel.” We know that the Bible speaks about the O.T. Jezebel and the N.T. Jezebel – both were wicked. I’ve written on both. But for the record let me state again where I stand on the issue of “Women can’t preach or teach.”
“Nevertheless I have a few things against you (Thyatira), because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce my servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols” (Revelations 2:20, NKJV). Some believe this pastor/prophetess was the wife of the male pastor who allowed her to TEACH. This is not my concern. My concern and the Bible’s concern is WHAT this woman was teaching! The issue was not over her being a female but the content of her teachings: sexual immorality and idolatry. Maybe this woman had another name but because of WHAT she was teaching (she echoes Ahab’s wicked and idolatrous queen (1 Kings 16:31; 2 Kings 9:22,30) called Jezebel.
This is what these liberal/lesbian females teach. These are the ones I reject (as does the Bible!) as unfit for the ministry.
Bolz-weber, heavily tattooed former drug addict, needs to find Christ. Her message assures us that it’s OK to be the black sheep – we still belong to God. Does the Bible teach this? Jesus comments on the good shepherd and the hireling, the true flock/sheep and the wolf in sheep’s clothing. There are thieves and robbers called “pastors/prophets” et al.
In 2019 NBW presented a special sculpture to Gloria Steinem, the gang feminist. This sculpture was made from purity rings sent from her fans. These rings are melted and fashioned into a vagina. Yes, a VAGINA! Is this not idolatry and immorality?
Well, I guess men like Brian McLaren could gather up men’s wedding rings, melt them and form a penis? One person used one word to describe this piece of “art” – REPULSIVE! Yep! Another called it “Sick and twisted!”
Still another commented: “For every soul she leads astray, she will be accountable. This is why marriage is in the gutter, because of false leaders like these.” Is she “messed up in her mind” as one wrote in, or is she right and all of us who use exegesis wrong?
“Public display of demonic narcissism is not pretty” someone commented. “Disgusting and pure evil” says another.
While I may be repulsed at her looks and language, I pay close attention to her teachings. Where have all the good and holy women gone? Why do women deck themselves out like whores and sluts? Why do men allow their wives to look and act like harlots? Good questions.
If there is not a change in word and deed (within the church), we can say “Good Bye Tomorrow!” All this falling away from sound Bible doctrine is a harbinger of what is coming. Judgment and more judgment!
